Defibrillator Emergency Communication SystemBy simply opening the AED cabinet door OR pressing the call button, the emergency phone connects to our emergency call center or 9-1-1 or other emergency assistance center. In this way, two-way communication is established between the AED user and emergency assistance and the AED cabinet is “alarmed” using a single device. Because the cabinet door is monitored, theft of the AED unit is less likely compared to a cabinet with no alarm or a local only alarm. |

The Kings III AED Defibrillator Cabinets incorporate our class leading landline or cellular emergency telephones directly within the cabinets. For a while now, some AED cabinets have had interface capability with burglar or fire alarm systems to transmit a signal whenever the AED cabinet was opened. While this signal is helpful, it is not the fastest way to get help to cardiac victims and is prone to false alarms. Additionally, the Federal Occupational Health www.foh.dhhs.gov recommends that a telephone be near each AED so that professional emergency personnel can be easily summoned. |
Pushing the button or opening the door connects the AED user to our operators who can also connect fire-rescue personnel who can give resuscitation, CPR or other medical instruction directly to the AED user. This is critical because in sudden cardiac arrest cases, emergency defibrillation of the victim is best started within two (2) minutes of the start of the event; doing so increases the survival rate of victims by 90 percent. For every minute that defibrillation is delayed, the survival rate falls by seven to ten percent. For this reason, rapidly connecting first responders to medical instruction is imperative. Also available is a camera system with digital video recording. To guard against theft of the AED and to document the event, our camera system captures approximately fifteen (15) snapshots just prior to the opening of the AED cabinet and five (5) snapshots just after. Once the emergency call has been completed, the digital video recorder (DVR) calls a preprogrammed image retrieval site, such as our emergency call center, and transfers the series of snapshots or Event Image Package) to a permanent storage system. Should you need the Event Image Package, they can be retrieved for use in identifying theft suspects or determining who actually used your AED. The images are high-resolution black & white snapshots taken by rugged low LUX cameras with backlight compensation. |  |
Kings III offers both indoor and exterior AED / Emergency phone cabinets and emergency phone models may be either standard phone line / PBX models or cellular models for sites that do not have ready access to standard phone lines. These products are affordably priced and are available with installation, maintenance and monitoring services as well. |

By combining our 24-hour monitoring service with our installation service, we can utilize our patented telephone line seizure technology to eliminate the need for, and expense of dedicated AED/Emergency Telephone Lines. With the average telephone line charge in excess of $42 per month nationally, this savings can enable you to quickly recover your investment.
The interior models (AED-3000-I and 3000-IC) have integrated strobe lights and sirens that flash and sound when the AED cabinet door is opened. A locator beacon/strobe is optional on the exterior models (AED-3000-E and 3000-EC).

Important Notes:Kings III’s AED Emergency Communication Systems do not include the actual defibrillator. AED’s, while available to individuals on an over-the-counter basis, still may require a prescription for commercial and public applications.
AED’s vary in size. We have designed the AED storage area in our cabinets to accommodate most popular AED’s however, please verify the dimensions of the AED you plan to use will fit easily into our AED storage areas. In order for your AED model to be easily removed from the cabinet, we recommend that your AED dimensions not exceed 13” x 14” x 6 ¼” (33 cm x 35.5 cm x 15.8 cm). If your chosen AED exceeds these dimensions, it may still fit so please call us with the dimensions of your AED.
