AED Cabinet

By pushing the button or opening the door, the AED defibrillator user connects to our operators who can also connect to Fire/Rescue personnel. Either party can give resuscitation, CPR or medical instruction directly to the AED user. This is critical because in sudden cardiac arrest cases, emergency defibrillation of the victim is best started within two minutes.

Defibrillator Emergency Communication System

By simply opening the AED cabinet door or pressing the call button, the emergency phone connects to our emergency call center, or 911, or other emergency assistance center. In this way, two-way communication is established between the AED user and emergency assistance. To prevent theft, a brief alarm sounds when the door is opened. Monitoring of the cabinet door makes theft less likely than for models with no alarm or unmonitored alarm.

Advantages of Our AED Cabinet

Our solution makes possible a direct, two-way telephone connection between a first responder and the emergency call center or dispatching personnel. Our AED cabinet incorporates our class leading landline or cellular emergency telephones directly within the cabinet. For a while now, some AED cabinets have had interface capability with burglar or fire alarm systems to transmit a signal whenever the AED cabinet was opened. While this is helpful, it is not the fastest way to get help to cardiac victims and is prone to false alarms. Additionally, the Federal Occupational Health Administration recommends that a telephone be near each AED so that professional emergency personnel can be summoned. Connection is Critical

Pushing the button or opening the door connects the AED user to our operators who can also connect to Fire/Rescue personnel. Either party can give CPR, resuscitation, or other medical instruction directly to the AED user. This is critical because in sudden cardiac arrest cases, emergency defibrillation of the victim is best started within two minutes. Doing so increases survival rate by 90 percent. For every minute defibrillation is delayed, survival rate falls by 7 to 10 percent. That's why connecting first responders to medical instruction quickly is imperative.

Important Notes About this Product

  • King III's AED emergency communication systems do not include the actual defibrillator. AEDs, while available to individuals on an over-the-counter basis, still may require a prescription for commercial and public applications.
  • AEDs vary in size. We have designed the AED storage area in our cabinet to accomodate most popular models. However, please verify the dimensions of the AED you plan to use to ensure it will fit easily. In order for your AED model to be easily removed from the cabinet, we recommend that your AED dimensions not exceed 13" x 14" x 6¼" (33cm x 35.5cm x 15.8cm). If your chosen AED exceeds those dimensions, it may still fit, so please call us for a consultation.
  • The AED-3000-I is telephone line powered and does not require electricity.
  • The AED-3000-IC requires 10-130VAC to power the cellular emergency phones.
